I found this using cgi-resources.com, looking for Perl implementations.  I do not like the so-common PHBBB and think that it could be done so much better and cleaner.

I'm impressed that the green and blue checkmarks show up on my status bar, meaning that this site really uses correct and valid HTML!  Well, until now anyway:  v-post/b-qa/ contains the line
     var c = ".</i>";
and if you run it through the validator (click the microbanner at the bottom of the page) it finds even more, and stops with "This page is not Valid XHTML 1.1!" at your typo
     <div class="padding: 50px !important;">
(you meant style, not class
but I digress.

I also noted that it was using UTF-8 to transfer, and tried posting Chinese characters in your demo, and they worked.  Yay!  When looking over blogging software, this was abysmal.

I like the GPL, so I can mess with it if I want to.

But... looking at the download, it appears that only English is provided.  At least it's set up for nationalization, but to what extent does it work, if nobody's done it yet?  We'll have to do that right off, so I hope you'll support the effort.  Like, does the charset at the top of the lng file refer to that file's own encoding only, or what?  And what of all the strings that are still hard-coded (at least non-admin ones)?

Second, I'd like to allow members (or a group of members) to upload images along with the message, rather than having them host it elsewhere.  Is that easy to do in the Message window, or would I need to provide a totally separate upload and management mechanism and then have them use the resulting URL in this composer?

I look forward to your reply!

wow i dont understand most of what you said - but can really recommend EBlah, its a fantastic bit of software!

As in your other thread, its very easy for admin to edit posts, you get a "quick edit" button which turns the post into a text button so the whole edit takes seconds.

There is also an upload facility in the message window which i take advantage of - when pictures are uploaded for instance a thumbnail is created and size etc is all customised in the admin panel

I will... I'm setting up a practice install and will play with it before getting all the details right.

BTW, your message causes the page to fail XHTML1.1 validation, although the logo at the bottom is still there.  Click on the wc3 banner at the very bottom (the left one) and you'll see it classifies it as only a warning, but
         ...  title="Motion & Heart"> ...
comes from your "site" button.  This shows a bug in E-Blah in printing a string without html-escaping it.  The literal '&' in the title should be encoded as "&amp;".  I mention this in some detail 'cause you're an administrator.

I'll add the class/style issue to my list.  It was just a typo.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
