Hi...I have got E-Blah installed and all seems to be working fine...apart from the automated email when people register, post replies etc.  We dont host our own webiste so am unsure of the settings I need to enter to get this working.  Within the Admin - Forum Settings, I assume I would need to set the Mail System to use SMTP.  However, what should the SMTP server be set to?  Would this be our outgoing mail server?  I have set it to mail.btconnect.com which is our service provider outgoing smtp server (used is Outlook), enable SMTP authentication (with my email username and password) but this doesnt seem to work.  Any ideas of what could be wrong?  Thanks...

As an update to this, I have now changed to use SENDMAIL, and I now receive emails when a new user registers.  However, I still dont get the email if I mark a post to email replies.  Obviously sendmail is working, si it cant be spam filters or blacklisting thats blocking the email, so it must be some setup issue.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks...

The problem I have is that if a user creates a new thread and clicks the Notify of New Replies check box, they do not receive an email when replies are posted.  I'm sure I must be missing something in the setup but am not sure what.  I know the SENDMAIL is working as the administrator is emailed when a new user registers.  The version I have installed is 10.2.5.  My forum is http://www.crocus-consulting.com/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?
