Are you running any third party software on your machine, that protects cookies? Have you also tried a dirrerent web browser, or checked on another machine? As for notifications -- it's either in your SPAM folder, or something wrong with your mail server. I am getting thread notifications from here perfectly fine. If you do not use at least 10.2.5, then thread notifications probably do not work. I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
