The system requirement for my forum is no-database support and perl-scripting only allowed. E-Blah is a stunning forum script that rivals most PHP/ASP database-driven forums. The latest round of scripting, with the automated upgrade or install scripts make it almost a no-brainer to go with E-Blah.

I like the fact that Eblah is easily modable and doesn't require that you use MySQL as a database backend. I like that it's an option for users though. When I first learned about forum software, I didn't know about MySQL or have the resources available to me. It has been helpful to have a flatfile database. Thanks much.

Even if your idea seems whack, stick with it and make it happen.

I use it because all others suck.  The only forum that can even be compared as far as I can see, and I still wouldn't switch is IceBB.  I do regular tests of all forums (except IPB), and in three years still haven't switched away from eblah.
