if you go to http://www.banjoteacher.com/homepage.html you will see a lot of links surrounding the "main page".  We would like to have that option on our banjo blog forum.  Justin told my boss that it was "simple" (HAHAHAHAHAHA ahem) to do if you know a little html.  So what I was wondering is, what do I need to know to be able to do this??  I have some experience with HTML but this stuff is new to me.

Thanks much

All you have to do is build your webpage into your Eblah template. Open up template.html and include the necessary CSS from your webpage into your Eblah template. Be sure that your webpage's CSS doesn't mess up your Eblah template's tables though. To be safe, just make a copy of your current template and test it live on your site in the background, leaving the other one as the default.

Once you have copied over the CSS includes, copy the rest of your HTML over to your template. The variable <blah main> is what controls where your forum shows up. You can put <blah main> anywhere in your template.html body. If you know how CSS and HTML work together, put <blah main> under a <div> tag for the main content of your webpage. When you are finished messing around with that, make sure that you still have <blah v="$copyright"> somewhere in your template, unless you have purchased a license.

If you want to place the forum navigation buttons somewhere other than the default, here are the variables for doing that:
  • <blah v="$homemenu">
  • <blah v="$helpmenu">
  • <blah v="$calmenu">
  • <blah v="$searchmenu">
  • <blah v="$adminmenu">
  • <blah v="$profilemenu">
  • <blah v="$loginmenu">

Template design can be a bit tedious at first, but you will be a pro in no time. I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Even if your idea seems whack, stick with it and make it happen.
