I don't know if this is a "feature request" or a "technical support" thing.

I'm a die-hard fan of E-Blah, but new demands for our site have required me to move hosts to something that support SQL and PHP. So, I'm pleased to learn that eBlah has a new SQL version out there, and I'm stoked to learn about using it.

A couple of issues though:
  • 1: is it possible to "import" an older Platinum 10 board into the SQL version? I can't lose my messages, users and boards. (sorry that is probably quickly addressed in the SQL forums)
  • 2: what are my options for integrating into a content management system, such as Joomla! or WebGUI? I am presuming that if I have a SQL version of the forum, it might be easy to integrate, or migrate. I don't want to lose eBlah in this process.
  • 3: Has anyone addressed integrating eBlah into CMS? Probably an initial feature request along these lines would be the import of all eBlah users and their group affiliations into the overall CMS account system.
  • 4: Worst case scenario: I have to stop using eBlah. If that's the case, there are a few known forums built into the Joomla CMS extensions, such as Fireboard or SMF. Is it possible to import/migrate members, boards and messages?

Thanks a bunch!

For #1, 10.2.5 can be transfered over into the SQL format.  As for the other questions, I have no idea.  I don't use any sort of CMS.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
Technical support is always free.

OK.

I presume that once I convert the forum into a SQL format, I will have database tables for members, boards, posts, etc. Do you have a listing of the table structure in the SQL script?

Because I've figured out how to adjust the eBlah template to fit within a width-constrained site, I should be able to just include the forum in the CMS template.
