The smilies do not appear.
The images exist, but I cannot to see them. In addition the area related to the smilies is extended and pratically it is not possible to write the message.

The dir is .../www/htdocs/blahdocs/Smilies

Please give me some suggestion.

Thanks

I think you have to go to admin Center  and click  ''Extra Smiley Code''
where you have to add the same code(name) example  001.gif  and add the same code Smiley Location
it may work now

Thank you for the answer. The problem persists : the list of the smilies appear but the images do not appear (red cross).

I have installed with success:
Blue_Guys
Trlly

Both contain:
For ex. for Blue_Guys:
Blahimages (Smilies. Blue Guys)
Mods

Mods has bin installed in the dir cgi-bin

But the images do not appear.

Some suggestion?

The two packages do not contain any kind of instruction about installation (the info for Trilly send to a web page that does not exist anymore).

Thanks.

If you could post a link to your forum, it would help a bunch.  Also, have you concidered upgrading to 10.2.5?
If you don't want to post the link to the public, you can PM it to me.

Thanks,
Craig.

Go to your admin center, Forum Settings, Directories and Web Addresses, and where you see smiles, change Blahdocs to blahdocs.

You are on a unix server, so if you use a capital letter "B" instead of a lowercase letter "b", it thinks it is a different directory.

Also your forum url is incorrect.  If you want me to fix it for you, just PM me your admin username and password.

-Craig.

Dear Craig:

Thank you for your suggestion.

It works.

Same problem for "Add More Smiles"?
I have downloaded "Blue_Guys"
Dir: blahdocs/Smilies/Blue_Guys/BlahImages/Smilies/ Blue_Guys/
I have updated also the file Blue_Guys.smp (Mods) both in blahdocs and in cgi-bin.
In the extra smiley code :
Available Smiley Packs
Blue_Guys - Deactivate (with the list of the images, that do not appear)
Possibly I have unzipped the file "Blue_Guys" in the non appropriate directory.
Some help, please.
Sincerely.

Make sure you upload the .smp file in ASCII to the forum/Mods folder and the images folder in BINARY to blahdocs/Smilies.

If you want me to take a look then pm me ftp login details.

Dear Martin:

Thank you for your answer.

I have uploaded the images into the directory blahdocs/smilies/ and the file Blue_Guys.smp into the Mods file (directory cgi-bin).

Now it works.

Sincerely,

Pier Carlo

I'm not sure why those smiley packs are wrong.  I updated those for Justin months ago.  I will have him fix the downloads.  Ok, all you have to do is upload the folder Blue_Guys and the files inside of it to your /blahdocs/Smiles directory.  Then install the mod and they should work fine.

Also, I just checked your site, and they are all working fine.

Just like the other smilies pack, just upload the image directory directly under the blahdocs folder and it will work
