Ok....I know this if probably a simple fix but I can't figure it out.

If you go to my message boards http://www.triadmoms.com/forum you get the screen that says "You do not have the right credentials to view this board, or there is no board to be found. If you are a guest, you may have to register before any forums are available"

I understand the message but I want guests to be able to view my board but not be able to post until they register.

How do I do this ??

Thanks,
Mesha

Go to your Admin Center, then to Boards and Categories.  You should see the category called General Discussion or something like that.  Under that is a listing of boards.  Click on the name of the board that you want guests to see, and check the appropiate boxes in the main window to give guests read only access to the board.

You can do this for any board on your forum.  Don't forget to save your settings.

See I knew it would be easy - Thanks !

Now when you go to my boards at http://www.triadmoms.com/forum - you see this message

"You may not post new threads or reply to threads on this board."

Is there anyway of changing this to say "Guests may not post new threads or reply to threads on this board. Please register to have full access to this board."

It is actually in BoardIndex.lng.  Edit this line:

$boardindex[98] = 'You <strong>may not post new threads or reply to threads</strong> on this board.';

I believe it is in Boardindex.pl

$restriction = qq~<div style="padding: 7px" class="win3 smalltext"><img src="$images/noaccess.png" class="leftimg" alt="" /> $restriction</div>~;

Get rid of:

<img src="$images/noaccess.png" class="leftimg" alt="" />

It is boardindex.pl under "Code" - for anyone else who wants to change that icon
