What would the full HTML line look like to insert this into a page of a site?

Umm, you'd need to use PHP or something.  I use SimplePie.

This is some code I use for one of my websites:

Code
   <div class="sermons">
    <h2>Latest Sermons</h2>
    <ul>
		<?php
		$feed = new SimplePie();
		$feed->feed_url('http://church.ministrytalk.com/page-podcast/church-lwwc/');
		$feed->init();

		for($x = 0; $x < $feed->get_item_quantity(); $x++) {
			$item = $feed->get_item($x);

			$stitle = $item->get_title();
			$enclosure = $item->get_enclosure(0);
			$url = $enclosure->get_link();
			$desc = $item->get_description();
			$date = $item->get_date('j M Y');

			if($x <= 3) {
				if($desc != '') { $desc = '&nbsp; <span class="desc">[ <a href="http://church.ministrytalk.com/page-list/church-lwwc/">more info</a> ]</span>'; }
		?>
     <li><span class="left"><a href="<?=$url?>"><?=$stitle?></a><?=$desc?></span><span class="date"><?=$date?></span></li>
		<?php } } ?>

    </ul>
   </div>

That code controls the feed at the side, "Latest Sermons".  It's not too difficult.  Remember to call include('./simplepie.inc'); though.
