Hello, I heard that eBlah was an excellent forum software; free too. Sadly I have no clue about my server and what OS it has as the host says it runs Windows and Linux that run together. So, as any person would do, I downloaded it then read up on the installation then installed in as would be in a UNIX system. My website tree before upload was like this:

Quoted Text

Directory:/
-cgi-bin
          -empty
-www
          -socomworld.net
                    -files and folders concerning site

After installation I ended up with the following:

Quoted Text

Directory:/
-cgi-bin
          -forum
-www
          socomworld.net
                    -blahdocs
                    -files and folders concerning site

So, I was set and ready to go. When heading over to 'http://www.socomworld.net/cgi-bin/forum/Setup.pl' I got an error:

Quoted Text

Not Found

The requested URL /cgi-bin/socomworld.net//forum/Setup.pl was not found on this server.

So, then I followed the renaming of Blah.pl and Setup.pl to have the file extensions to .cgi but still no avail. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me.

EDIT: If this is needed, I didn't edit the Perl path. Here it is quoted, what is should have been, from my host. If this is what caused my problem, please tell me:

/usr/local/nf/lib/perl5/5.8.3/i386-freebsd
/usr/local/nf/lib/perl5/5.8.3
/usr/local/nf/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3/i386-freebsd
/usr/local/nf/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.3
/usr/local/nf/lib/perl5/site_perl

Perl v5.5.3 scripts should include the following line at the beginning of all perl scripts:

#!/usr/bin/perl

Perl v5.8.3 scripts should include the following line at the beginning of all perl scripts:

#!/usr/local/nf/bin/perl5.8.3

Try moving the forum directory outside of the cgi-bin.  If that doesn't work, move it back to the cgi-bin and e-mail them asking why it isn't working.  It sounds like a configuration issue to me.

Got it done, all I needed to do was add a folder named socomworld.net in the cgi-bin folder then it was set, thanks for your help.
