Hi,

I have just uploaded Eblah last night to my webspace.  I run the "setup.pl" and it reports an invalid path error.

Document Root:
Script name: e:\domains\o\omnipc.co.uk\user\htdocs\cgi-bin\forum\setup.pl
File(s) Not Loaded: ./Settings.pl, ./Settings_Default.pl
Reason for failure: No such file or directory

The only thing I havent done according to the install instructions is set the permissions on the files or folders.  I am using Terrapin FTP and it doesnt seem to have a place to set this.  Could you please advise.

Regards

Kev

Martin, Thanks for propt reply.

I have also tried Capital S, but it seems that it thinks the settings.pl is missing?  I have put it in the Root of forum as the install suggests.  Im new to this game just feeling my feet!

I wonder if it is to do with my webspace providers server?  they are running Windows server system?

Cheers

Did you upload a Settings.pl?  If there was just a Settings_Default.pl rename it to Settings.pl

First try this, edit Settings.pl and change:

$root = ".";

to:

$root = "e:\domains\o\omnipc.co.uk\user\htdocs\cgi-bin\forum\";

re-upload in ASCII

In Blah.pl and Setup.pl change Settings.pl to:

e:/domains/o/omnipc.co.uk/user/htdocs/cgi-bin/forum/Settings.pl

Then rename Settings_Default.pl to Settings.pl.  Next, in Settings.pl change $root to:

e:/domains/o/omnipc.co.uk/user/htdocs/cgi-bin/forum

And change the next variable to:

e:/domains/o/omnipc.co.uk/user/htdocs/blahdocs

Finally, run Setup.pl.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
