I have FTP's the files to the hosting server. When I run the Setup.pl, I get:
Webpage title: 500 Internal Server Error
"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@abzorba.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log."
     -----

What I have done:
   - Confirmed files are sent in proper ASCII or binary
   - Changed the CHMOD to the settings listed in the installation directions for the various directories
   - Added the path names to Setup.pl and Blah.pl  PATH: /abzorba.com/u19/jarvis/cgi-bin/forum (this could be incorrect)
   - Read through many of the postings and tried a variety of the suggestions
   - Change the CHMOD setting from 755 to 777 and back for the suggested files and directories.
(when I change the CHMON for /forum to 777; a different err msg: "You are forbidden..."
   - Have renamed the files from *.pl to *.cgi
   - Moved Setup.pl and Blah.pl files to the root of the web directory
   - Moved the folders /forum and /blahdocs to the root of the web directory
   - Tried running the Setup.pl in iE and FireFox

The hosting service has a perl test for your scripts; here is the result of testing Setup.pl:

In editing the path location, I am not sure if I have changed the $root dir and the Path locations in the correct location(s) inside the files.
Could someone please assist me in getting the files configured properly?

                    Thank you for your time,
                            Oma

Check with your hosting company and see where perl is installed.  Also, try to look at the error logs.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Thank you for responding to my post, Justin.
I'll will admit my ignorance on this one; how do I look at the err logs?
Thank you again for your time

That's something that'll be specific to your hosting provider.  If you are using cPanel, you can go to it then go to the error log.

Thank you, Justin for installing my forum.  It was worth the $20 of no continuing frustration.
I found my FTP software was uploading the files in the incorrect format, (operator error).  Once I figured that out, I was able to make more more adjustments to the forum.
I'm still having some trouble getting the customzed buttons and icons to appear in the new theme, but I think I need to do a little more RFTM.
Again, thank you for the quick turn around of installing my forum!

                Oma

P.S.  I'll be reading through the Theme forums to see what I may be doing wrong.

The theme you are installing may be old, so you'll have to change the buttons to the new format.

H'Waaaaaaaaa....!!!
I'm getting the Webpage title: 500 Internal Server Error again!!
I was trying to have the directory point to http://www.abzorba.com/forum/ and I overwrote the working Blah.pl file.  I can't seem to get  the file working again.
Could anyone help?
