that leaves me wondering why this situation never happened on a previous upgrade?
surely all shared hosts can't be running out of storage at the same time which coincides with the latest eBlah release....
i'm not trying to be difficult and I certainly value the eBlah platform.... just find the situation very curious.

got it craig.. you've told us that three times since july....
The underlying question as to why it's only happened (to myself & many others) on this upgrade remains...

3 times since July?  I think that is the first time I have ever said that, but if you say so...

10.1.5 and I forget if it was 10.2 as well, had a slight problem that COULD cause them to be deleted that wasn't due to space.  10.2.5 has fixed that though.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Happening to me too and I'm with Heart

Made a backup yesterday but not reloaded yet.

It has only affected me.  I have copied my backedup up dat file which has had some success.

Initally, I was showing as a grey member with the title of 1, instead of KPDub in red.

Uploaded my DAT file and my name on the forums turned red, won't let me login still ,I'm only member effected and have a backup profile..

Do I need to upload all files? or just my DAT file? and do I do it as ascii?

BTW, where before it said my username was already taken (if I tried to re-register), now it says its available

Anyway, with Heart to sort out

This is a problem with shared hosting and physical disk space on the server, ie: Heartinternets freebie.

I have several accounts with Heartinternet but none are on their freebie and I have never had the problem.

When you upload the .dat file, you just need that 1 file and upload it in ASCII

Just been on Heartinternet and they did have problems that required a server reboot.

Yeah saw that.  No reply from their support team yet, which is disappointing.

I saw in an earlier thread someone saying that a new version of Eblah addresses this (although I appreciate its not eblahs fault).  Can' remember where I saw it or what version it says does this.  I have version 10.2

Although could have just made that up, did have a couple of weird dreams last night

Worse comes to the worse, I will just create another account, especially as it now says my username is availalbe.  I am so far the only user affected, all the posts are still on the forum and I only lose my post count.

Will put up a warning on my forum about refreshing and that if they lose their account, then its gone for good.

However, would like a good explanation from Heart, so to prevent this happening again

Just thought I would post up the reply I got from heart

Quoted Text
The fundamental problem is that you are using a piece of software that is bugged.

So it seems I got the standard rebuff
