i have just noticed that one of my members signature is no longer displying correctly on the message board - it shows the smiley code instead of the smiley. however, in the member center it looks ok. the screenshots show the 2 examples.

and a link to an item in ebay is doing very odd things on the message post but when you edit looks ok?

any ideas what's upsetting what and where?

Did you upload the latest bc.js when you upgraded?

I should add that I see things as they should be.

yes - from 11 oct on the server. what is odd is that on the page where that particular signature doesn't work, other smilies etc are working fine

Just checked and you don't have a p3 folder in /Smilies, you have a p1, p2, p4 and p5

cheer leader is in p5 bye the way.

In regard to the ebay url, it would need to be put in quotes or the Disable html ticked

for some reason the p3 smilies ended up in a folder called newSet - this was from when i didn't have the faintest idea what i was doing when i first set the board up, and was just making it up as i went along. i keep meaning to have a tidy up - but i'm just too lazy and if i delete or change them then i end up with lots of messy smiley code in the threads....

the smiley works because it shows in her member Center and i posted it in the same message below her post and is in newSet called cheer.gif

for the url - i don't think i have html enabled, so i'll try the quote thingy.

This is a really strange one, I can't get any smiley to appear in the signature. Still looking into it for you.

others are disappearing now - mine and mini59. but those signatures work on other threads..... very odd indeed...

as for that one post, maybe check to make sure smilies are not disabled in the post?? (edit the post)  probably thought of that already though, huh?

i hadn't actually - when straight off to check - and the original post had it ticked, so unticked it and those smilies have appeared, but all the others that are now not working - they seem to be multiplying - haven't disabled smilies and a random selection are now not working....
