i had the same problem.  i had to remove the code manually.  another thing i noticed though was that when i changed the image in the code, it still displayed the same image.  whenh i deleted the original image it just displayed a blank box.  i know the image file and path was entered correctly also.  even if i renamed the new image to the same name as the original image and renamed the original image to something else, it still displayed the original image, even after page refresh

If you are using IE, try refreshing with CTRL+F5.  I would also suggest that you replace the image not change the code.  That should work for you.

As for the mod not un-installing, what version of E-Blah are you running, and do you have any other mods installed that change Boardindex.pl?

-Craig.

You might need to make sure your Mods directory can be written to.  It should be chmod'd to 777.

This is now fixed, I used a Replace statement instead of a Before statement and it now installs and uninstalls correctly.

For anyone interested, the code is:

Code

<version="1">
<boardversion="10.1">
<site="http://www.blahdocs.com">
<desc="This will make any image you choose fall as a transparent image on your Board Index only. Image can be changed to anything you like.">

<openfile="Code/BoardIndex.pl" writes="1">
<mod search="1">
<table cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" width="100%" class="border">
</mod end>
<mod write="1" action="2">
<script type="text/javascript">

var imgSrc = '/blahdocs/fallingimage.gif';
var PicX = 20;
var PicY = 20;
var NumSnow = 15;
var fallRate = 0.010;
var driftRate = 8;
//-->
</script>
<script src="/blahdocs/fallingimage.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

So the before statement still has a bug in it?  I thought Justin fixed that.

I never use it, I always create all my mods with the replace statement.

Not sure why the Before does this but it does seem to be on certain mods only, mainly any mod that changes BoardIndex.pl

I had the same problem with the ThemeSwitcher, Chat and Shoutbox mods.
