| upgrading from 9.71b to 10.1 followed the guide to a T However, it still shows that I am running 9.71b Also, we lost all of our posts back in august, and had to manually change many post counts back after a "recount posts". I didn't realize that until after I hit the recount posts button this time following the instructions. Is there anyway to restore the post counts for all members from the backup that I did just before the upgrade? What are my options for downgrading then restoring to bring me back to this morning, then starting over? Also, I see that we have the same problem that was outlined in another post about not being able to login as admin anymore and to delete a file, but NOT after upgrading to 10.1..........which I already did, I think. Also it isn't allowing me to post as it is saying my email addy is not valid or being used already.... Justin, I'm just down the road from you (Notasulga) so be nice! HAHA |

You live in Notasulga? Never thought I'd meet someone that close to me. If you did a recount, the best way would either be to manually change them all or to fall back on the upgrade. To fall back, you'll need to upload everything in your backup in ASCII. This takes time, too. Also, you'll need to CHMOD everything correctly (mostly 666). What are you talking about deleting a file? You may just need to rebuild your members list. The 9.71 to 10.1, upload Blah.pl. |

Yep, I'm just down the road. I work at the VA hospital in Tuskegee, I'm just on here under the board owners account. OK, it looks like I've got everything going except a couple things, thanks for the help. The one problem that I see right now is that I can't login as admin now, I have to use a regular board name. Also it seems that only I have this problem which I didn't before upgrade I am getting a error now only when I go to reply to post's. Whenever I try to click on a smilie they don't work. My cursor picks up the link but nothing happens when I click on it. None of my settings have been changed at all so something went wrong somewhere Also, all of our alignment is off now. The numbers under topics and posts aren't centered in their boxes and if you go into view recent posts, nothing is centered. Check it out, http://www.ushuntingforums.com/cgi-bin/Blah.pl?b= Heres a screen shot.

Another possibility is that your server is not over writting the .js files for what ever reason. Delete them off your server, and then upload the new ones. Sometimes that works. Also, if you are sure you are uploading them in Binary mode, try uploading them in ASCII instead. With those files, I don't think it really matters what mode they are uploaded in, but sometimes that fixes the issues. I just thought of another reason. Before you do any of that, go to your admin center and under Forum Settings, Directories and Web Addresses, make sure that you have a URL and DIR path (that are correct ) for blahdocs (URL): and blahdocs (DIR): -Craig |

The only thing that I am seeing wrong now is that the alignment is off only if you view "recent posts", just like the picture above. Alignment everywhere else seems fine. |

Yeah, that is because you haven't added the additional css code to that theme. The new code needs to be added to every theme's template.css file |

the css code has been added to all themes. The part that is misaligned is the posters name, I could swear that it used to be aligned right, regardless of how long the title was all posters names lined up. Its not that big a deal though, nobody else is complaining. |

| One thing that you need to look out for is this: <td align="right" or <td align="center" that won't work because all <td>'s are aligned to the left per the css. What you can do it this to fix it though: <td class="right" <td class="center" If you have a <td> that already has a class assigned like this: <td class="win1" align="right" then you can do this to fix it: <td class="win1 right" Hope that helps, Craig. |
