is it possible to have or create a Board then have subforums then have more nore sub forums...kinda like this


Main Forum
      A-sub-forum
            sub-forum 1
            sub-forum 2
            sub-forum 3
      B-sub-forum
            sub-forum 1
            sub-forum 2
            sub-forum 3

so basically on the main board you would see the main forum. then when you click on it you see the sub-forums for that catagory. then click on them and see the genres as it were listed out with the individual threads in the sub-forums 1, 2 ,3 etc. ?

You can have sub cats, which does almost the same thing.

is there a way to hide the sub catagories text...so that it just shows "Main Forum" with Subforums: A-sub-forum, B-sub-forum, C-sub-forum?

Right now its showing "Main Forum" Subforums: sub-forum1, sub-forum2, sub-forum3.

I was wanting it to display the hierarchy Sub catagories and not the cholarchy sub-forums. on the main board. then when you click the hierarchy Sub catagories you will then see the list of cholarchy sub-forums to choose from. Thanks again in advance for all the help!

I used this mod here and it worked to a point. But now it is showing ALL the cholarchy subforums. This is not really whst i want it to do. On the Main board i would like it to show something like this:

I do not want all the cholarchy subforums to be listed except after viewing the screen resoultion first. The second "Quote" i used for my example is working baised on the mod that i linked to above but it does not work while viewing the main board and only showing the hierarchy Sub catagories.

Hmm, so you want the categories to be listed, I take it?  If so, you can't do that.  I'm not sure how hard it would be to do that.

so only the sub-sub-forums will be displayed? and the only way to see the hierarchy Sub catagories is to click on the "Screen Savers" catagory...then you will see the real break out?

i attached 3 images to show what i mean..they are appropriatly titled. you can see from the main board image that it is listing not the sub catagories but it listing the subforums that are in the sub cats. The other two images are how i would think it should be but it seams that on the main board its not even reccignizing the sub cats even exist. i just want the main board to display the sub-cats then the sub cats to display like the 2nd image.

Hmm.  So the first one is what you DO NOT want, but the 2nd one is what you DO want it to do?

If so, I might be able to do that ... as that may be better than the way it is now anyway.

yes the first image is how it shows now on the main board. but my thinking is that if i add a sub-cat that only those should display as subforms when viewing the main board. then when you click the main catagory, in this case "Screen Savers", you see the sub forums as shown in the 2nd image. its just like the main board is the one causing the problems...everything else looks great!
