Hi guys,

I've been posting about eBlah today over on this forum:

http://www.theadminzone.com/forums/showthread.php?p=203695&posted=1#post203695

but the conversation has turned a bit technical and I might end up out of my depth.

The forum is a very busy one and is aimed at people who run forums. You may want to go visit and tell the guys some of the technical stuff about your forum software and it will also get the eBlah name out there!

Thanks,

Chris.

I posted a reply.  Hopefully it is more welcomed then the last time E-Blah became a topic there  The people replying to your post are a lot more open minded than the last time E-Blah came up as a topic.

Thanks for talking up E-Blah.  If every user did that (in a positive way), E-Blah would be a lot more popular .

Well, E-Blah is written in Perl.  CGI is an interface to perl, which can (and does) make things a little slower (not really anything noticable though).

Thanks very much for posting about it there.    I think you're the first one to ever say I commented my code though.    Haha.

Oh, and you can always donate.    It'll help further my new computer fund.  Which hasn't been furthered yet.  lol

The people there do seem to be a little confused as to what CGI exactly is for though.  It's true that each time E-Blah is loaded Perl is loaded (so if you have 50 refreshes at the same time, you'll have 50 perl processes, for instance).  If that makes sense.  In all, that's the only real downside -- other than ALSO being able to execute other applicains with perl (hence where security comes in, and why some servers crack down more than others -- also why some servers can't use gZip/backup features).

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.
Technical support is always free.
