I've just had the same problem, but mine was working fine until I changed one of the lines under 'Edit scrolling news' in the Admin Control Panel.

The news lines which were there already had been put in before the Ver 10.05 upgrade. Now I can only get one line to display, and if there is more than one line, 'Undefined' scrolls repeatedly instead.

I'm hosting on a Win XP box under Abyss Web Server. I have direct access to the box, so the files weren't uploaded by FTP (not that it would matter on doze).

Lucas.

It is a bug.  Here is the fix.  Follow the readme.txt file instructions to fix it.
Thanks to Martin for fixing this.

I notice that if i use the ' symbol then I also get the undefined message.
Does the fix allow for this symbol to be used as I also got the same error in earlier versions.

Just a note that the mod doesn't work in the latest nightly (24-09-06), and the issue doesn't seem to have been fixed.

Find this in BoardIndex.pl
Code
			$message = BC($message);
			$message =~ s/\r|\n//;
			$message =~ s/'/\\'/;
			$message =~ s/"/\\"/;

And replace it with:

Code
			$message = BC($message);
			$message =~ s/\n|\r//g;
			$message =~ s/\"/\\\"/g;
			$message =~ s/\'/\\\'/g;

Use the News.js from the mod
