Yeah, the color code is just a style, like CSS. You'll need to be familure with CSS to do it though. It's confusing to explain.

It'd probably help to look at the actual source of the outputted page to get an idea of how the colors are done. Note that the style is being moved from a <span> to inside the <a> when the next version is released (or the nightlies).
