I have noticed that sence the new upgrade to 10.05 the move/merge is either different or acting up. The way we would merge before is to take one thread from one section copy the link address...go into a different section and thread we wanted to merge to hit the merge button and paste the link into the merge field hit merge and done.

Now the new one is the same steps but for some reason the old version we were using ( 9.71b ) after you would merge you would remain in the section you merged to. Now it seams that it merges the threads but kicks you back to the section you merged from. So all the links you see are where the old thread came from, but the new thread is in the correct location.

I hope that i have explained this enough for someone to be able to help resolve this. Sence i am not sure if this is a bug or not. Thanks in advace for the help.

Go to Admin/Rebuild All Boards.  It's a bug that I'll try to have fixed soon at the pit (http://pit.eblah.com).

Yeah, that was a quick fix.  I put the wrong board for the change in the Message Database.  Great find!    This would have caused issues for those who didn't have access to the board the thread was merged from.

so the rebuilding of the boards should fix it?

Im not real sure how to use the eblah pit and what if anything i would need to overwrite. Could you please help with that

Just look for the latest date (wait until tomorrow to get it), then copy the Code, Languages, and Blah.pl over to your server.  If there are any new images, always copy them too.  It's not a "full" install, so you shouldn't be able to screw your forum up.  Make sure you run Setup.pl too.  A backup wouldn't hurt either.

ok thanks for the update. I did rebuild the boards and tried to merge again and it did not fix the issue. I will wait to see if the update from the pit will be the fix.
