I'm not sure if this is a bug or something I have done prior. the login pane is now hung to the right instead of being centred. Also the Scrolling News feed is left aligned. The parsed login code reads in HTML with TWO

Please login or register.

I could hack round this problem but I'm not sure what effects it will have on rest of the script.

Any sugestions

Open the installation and go into public_html/blahdocs/winter/

open template.css and copy any css statements that are not in your current css file.

For example, these will not be in your current css file:

.loading {
     background-image : url(/blahdocs/images/loading.gif);
     background-repeat: no-repeat;
     width            : 222px;
     height           : 19px;
}

.right {
     text-align: right !important;
}

The old template won't align properly.

The p9.x templates need updating to xhtml and the new css classes.

You can fix most by comparing the new template.css with your current template.css and copy any classes that do not exist fro new to old.

Flogged on for an hour or so.... problem almost resolved.

The news scroller is now centred but the Login dialogue box is still aligned left which makes the page look a bit amateurish

Oh, make sure that around <blah main> there is:

IE:

<blah main>

If the div doesn't work, just do a width 100% table.

That's fixed it Justin.... Excellent!

Login dialogue box is now centred....

Something else I found about 10 minutes ago:

In the Calender, a new feature in the right calendar options box is a an Icon with "Upcoming Events Feed" link. (The calender at the moment has no entries) but clicking it opens a page of code thus:

-

-

I stand to be corrected but I don't think this is supposed to happen?

It is. When you add new entries, it'll populate for you.

Already tried that Justin. If I add another entry it simply rolls it into the code output...

I'm not sure where the code is parsed so I can't debug it further.

This is the page displayed when I hit the "Upcoming Events Feed" button.

That appears to be good.

You'll need to use a feed reader, though, to make sure of any of the information.

IE7 and Firefox (along with the other browsers now) should have one built in, unless you want to go stand-alone.

Morning Justin,
I'm not quite sure what you mean by this statement:

"You'll need to use a feed reader, though, to make sure of any of the information.

IE7 and Firefox (along with the other browsers now) should have one built in, unless you want to go stand-alone".

Is there a browser update which the Gates community keeping to itself?

Out of curiosity, I have just posted an event on your tryout Forum Calendar, and it does exactly the same. when you hit the "Upcoming Events Feed" button, you ONLY get a page of code with the forthcoming event rolled in it, not as you would expect to find, a properly parsed html page.

I have atteched a screenshot of what is displayed.

Other than that, As before "It's absolutely Fantastic!"

You will need to either run FireFox (http://www.firefox.eu.com/), or IE 7 Beta 3 (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx) to have an RSS feeder intergrated into your browser. You can also download other addon readers (http://blogspace.com/rss/readers), but I would suggest IE 7 beta if you are used to IE.
