Some shared hosting account have issues with .dat files just up and blanking out, thus making your user's member data bad.

Thus, I've made a tiny modification to Load.pl which I hope will help ease the pain of those issues.  Now, before an update is committed the users .dat file will be renamed to user.bak, and then a new user.dat file will be written.  If the .dat file ends up not containing any information (which is bad) or the .dat file does not contain the users screen name (also means that the .dat file is probably bad), the users.dat file will be restored by the backup (user.bak).

This method isn't completely fail safe, however. If your server is running out of space, be aware that any other part of the database could become corrupt.  If that happens, just hope you have a backup of your forum.  Users on shared hosting should ALWAYS keep a backup on your PERSONAL computer, and make regular weekly and/or monthly backups.

Anyway, I hope this eases the trouble; however, now you won't know you're running out of space until something worse happens.  So just be aware.

To get the fix, redownload E-Blah 10.0 and reupload the entire package to your server.

If you are unsure as to whether or not you have the latest version, download Load.pl and make sure the first few lines look like this:

If they do not, you do NOT have the latest version of E-Blah.  All you will need to do is copy all of the files from the "Code" directory to your server.
