Oh, you need to add the CSS information.  You can find it on the News Board in the post about 10.0 (not 10.05).

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

I'm having a problem when anyone posts a new thread or replys to a post, an error message pops up that says...

Error
You're not allowed to read messages on this board.

I also get the same message when ever one of the moderators of myself uses an admin function like either deleting a post, or moving a thread to a different sub-catagory.

It is also showing posts that I make as unread post, but this may be because I'm getting the error message instead of the page being refreshed to what I just posted.  So this may not be a problem if the error message page wasn't an issue.

Go to Admin/"Rebuild All Boards".  That'll fix it.

I just found another one..I clicked on one of the up arrows that hides a board catagory, and now I cant get it to stay un-hidden.  I click on the "click here to un-hide" and it'll become unhidden until the next time I refresh the page.  Some times I have to click on it a couple times befor it'll become un-hidden.

it's seeming to be working right, now though.  hmm..

1 other bug, when you're making posts and click on a smiley at the side, it doesn't add the command in the text box.

I've just done the 9.71b to 10.05 upgrade, and pleased to say it goes fine if you follow the instructions faithfully. I know, because the bold on my pdf viewer is a little pale, so I missed one, but all was fine when I spotted it and copied in the missing file.

The notes in here regarding the CSS revs also meant it was pretty straightforward to rev-up my skin too (only the new td-left line was a prob, and had to go), so thanks for the excellent support (as usual ).

I noticed the board-hide bug suggested above, and have found that it (or similar) persists on my site, so here's the symptoms:

There are only 2 boards visible to members. Hiding one the first time takes 2 clicks of the arrow. Once hidden, a single board can be shown or re-hidden without problem...

However...

If the second board is then hidden, then clicking the first board's arrow may reveal the second board, and subsequent operation of the hide/unhide up and down arrows of the boards is relatively random in its effect. Sometimes it works on the board it is appears on, sometimes on the other.

It's as if the toggle doesn't know which board it belongs to.

Using the Refresh as suggested above is no  help, as all that does is cause the url with the last board toggle to run, so it just keeps hiding and unhiding the board the last url shows in the browser e.g.

http://secretscotland.org.uk/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?a-tog/cat-secsco/

If the above url is displayed while the first secso board is un-hidden and the other (memar) second board is hidden, then clicking on the down arrow on the second memar board to un-hide it actually results in the first secso board becoming hidden.

I don't really use this option, but since the problem seems to be repeatable, and not going away, thought I should mention it.

Just for info:

This seems to be browser and machine/system independent. I get the same using a desktop and laptop, and with XP/98, and IE(6) and Fx 1.5.

It may be that the browser is getting cache results.

Anything I might try re-loading, updating or deleting to get rid of this?

Since I tried board-hiding, every time I login to my forum (as a member or Admin) the members board is hidden, and I have to unhide it to see it. Restarting the browser makes no difference, and I don't save cookies between sessions either.

This board is always hidden at login now, regardless of whether I logout out with it (or the other boards) hidden, visible, or with some hidden and some visible. A member reported it too, describing the board hiding option as 'having a mind of its own'

I don't usually have any caching allocated, as I'm usually coding online, and as noted, it can foul up displayed content.

Looks like the nightly deserves more than think

Having uploaded it, I'm pleased to report that I can't provoke the the naughty hide/unhide behaviour any longer.

Most appreciated, finding the unhide option was becoming tedious along with logging in on each visit.

Thanks.

All I did was add redirect().  See how much one line can do?

There's more to last nights nightly than just that though ... you get the new post group functions too.
