Now that I have got the RSS feed working for one board... Is there any way to have an RSS feed for "today's events" Or put another way the current day's events from the calendar?

Not really, but I'll add it to that really (REALLY) long to-do list of mine ...

That would be great! Hopefully it won't require much and can happen quickly, but I understand having to wait in line for more important to-do's. Thanks!

If there were any upcoming events, that's where they'll be.  There's a link on the calendar.

I still have not got this to work. I have filled in almost a week's worth of events, and the RSS feed will not post on my site. I have managed to get a board's feed to post properly, but the calendar doesn't show at all. What could I have done wrong? Here is the feed to my calendar:

http://www.hussieskunk.com/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl?v-cal/a-rss/

Feed Validator says that it is a valid feed, I just cannot do anything with it. Please advise if there is a solution.

Second, what is the best way to allow ALL members to post info/events to the calendar?

Personally, I don't see any events on your calendar.  I think it's probably an issue with you changing the actuall permissions.

I see what I have to do now. I have to make sure that EVERY group gets selected on the viewable list. So is that how it is done for members too? Will they have to select from the same groups as to whether who can and cannot see it? The feed is coming through now that I have selected all groups.

This leaves me with a follow up question to all RSS feeds. I've noticed no matter what I do to try to get the full description, I only get a partial of the first sentence found in any thread. Is this somethign on eblah's end that is preventing a full description from showing?

Make sure you select ALL of the non-member groups on events.

You can allow users to add to the main calendar by assigning them to be calendar mod *OR* by giving them mangership of group(s).

Hope this helps?

EDIT: In the future, could there be an option similar to when creating boards you can assign permissions to the different groups? For instance, another column of permissions about the calendar posting, etc.?

Oooooooohhhhh, that feed.

You can change that by going to Admin/Settings and changing the max display length to whatever you want it to be.

I'm not seeing it in Settings? Could you point directly to it?

I've looked everywhere and I don't see a setting to allow more of the RSS feed descriptions to show... Please help!

Also, getting back to the calendar posting? I would really like all members to have access to post to the calendar... Is there any way to set this permission up globally to all users?

Change "News Text Display Length" to like 0.

All users can modify the calendar, but just make personal events.

You could make a group that anyone could join that has calendar permissions.

The calendar group advice worked great.

As for the changing the "News Text Display Length" to zero. That did not work. Anything else I could try to get the full description of the feed?
