ok ok...before i totally freak out here...in the last few weeks random people have been getting their accounts disabled for no reason...i go check the files and their dat file is blank and 0 bytes.  tonight it happened to me, the admin.  so i went to my backup and restored my files.  about 3 minutes later, i got the same message saying my account was disabled.  went back into ftp server and my dat file is empty and again 0 bytes.  um any ideas?

im running 9.6...www.minutemanmasters.com

Make sure you aren't running out of server space.  It's common when you run out of server space.

well i deleted about 9 megs off of the server and contacted my isp admin to say wtf.  hopefully that will fix it.  thanks for the tip!

justin...happened again this morning...users are getting randomly disabled and my admin account is again disabled...i pm'ed you the acct information...can you please have a look?  ill make a big donation if we can fix this...

It's your server if it's setting things to 0 bytes.

When your servers disk drive runs out of space it'll set files to 0 bytes.  It could be just your account.  It could be the entire server HDD is out of room.  It could be that when the server makes backups it's running the main HDD completely out of space OR it's making your account run out of space.  It's either that or another server misconfiguration.

i just got an email back from my isp admin:

"A couple of the sites on that server, including yours, built up their disk usage more quickly than anticipated, sorr y for the inconvenience!

We are moving filesystems around right now, and should have the problem cleared shortly."

so clearly the problem is this...so now my question is, once he frees up disk space or allocates more disk space or whatever he does, do i need to restore 0k accounts from backup or should they automatically fix themselves?
