Is there any way to limit the overall width of uploaded images to a max of 600 pixels.

eg, if someone attempts to uplaod an image greater than 600 wide it returns a message "unable to upload - image exceeds maximum width permitted".

This prevents the site from becoming untidy especially for those using smaller res monitors
