I figured that it was about time that I got around to actually posting on here. I have been reading and browsing these boards for quite a while now but not posting anything. Anyway, I have been a long fan of E-Blah ever since I first discovered them quite a few versions back and have been using them ever since. I love that they are quick and easy with so many fewer headaches compared to the various database and other flat-based forums that I used to run using other forum solutions. The SectionGWG Communty Forums are my latest E-Blah forum and probably my best ones that I have made to date. You will notice that they include quite a few mods and a custom E-Blah theme that I have made for them, one that has been very well recieved by our members. The SectionGWG website and forums were created as an easy to use and central place for Guild Wars Guilds and players to get together and communicate with each other under one roof. I didn't really find anything like that so I figured I would make one to support the need. Also I didn't seem very logical that small or newer guilds would have to make seperate sites that were just isolated from one another. I try to provide a fair and friendly place for anyone to visit as well as provide more personalize services for guilds thanks to some of the features that E-Blah provides me. While they haven't been up and running for too long, getting close to a month now, they are in a nice enough state that I can show them off, gain some outside feedback, and help spread the word a little more about our more unique forums. I have been too busy to get around to making the main SectionGWG website just yet. Just letting you know ahead of time before you tell that the forum link takes you to the placeholder webpage. Homer Simpson from Episode "King-Sized Homer" [reading screen] "To Start Press Any Key". Where's the ANY key? I see Esk ["ESC"], Catarl ["CTRL"], and Pig-Up ["PGUP"]. There doesn't seem to be any ANY key. Woo! All this computer hacking is making me thirsty. I think I'll order a TAB. [presses TAB key] Awp...no time for that now, the computer's starting."

I probably have the first version that I used sitting somewhere on my hard drive. I'm pretty sure that I have been using your forum software for at least two or more years starting around the early versions of your platinum releases can't recall the exact one though. |

Yeah it sure. Its like a complely different version when it comes to the features, setup and overall look and feel of the newest platinum releases. I have a quick question and since it relates to my forum and I'm not sure where to ask it, so I will just do so here. You probably noticed that on my forums we used the post ranks for members and did them in a way that fits the overall rpg-theme for our forums even renaming the mods, admins and board mods to fit in better. We also use special forum groups for the Guilds so they have access and stuff to their own board on ours. Here is my question: How can I set them up that it will show the Guild Forum Group that the member belongs to as well as show their Post Ranks at the same time? I like how the member list shows the custom Post Ranks but I am trying to figure out how to use both of them and not sure how. I noticed that I can change the group number which changes which one is viewable but then it ignores the post ranks. Maybe you can figure out a simple way to allow me to use both, if not, then thats ok as well. Not like I am going to like E-Blah any less than I already do now. |
