There was a minor bug found in Platinum 9.71, so I've had to release Platinum 9.71B.  The bug was with the new "Forgot Password" feature of no longer requiring a username.  The problem was that there was no longer any error handling.

This fixes that.

If you are upgrading from P9.71, the only three files you need to replace are /Code/Login.pl, /Languages/English/Login.lng, and Blah.pl.

Sorry for the slight problem!  Thanks for the two people who posted messages on the forum and let me know about this small bug!  On some forums this is a major bug, while on others it may never be seen.  Be sure to upgrade in either case.

Also, please any .dat file in the Members directory (DO NOT delete {memberid}.dat, ONLY a '.dat' file).

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

No, that's not going away.  You need to use MD5 encryption.

Replace files for the bug fix:
Quote:
"If you are upgrading, the only two files you need to replace are /Code/Login.pl, /Languages/English/Login.lng, and Blah.pl."

Unless I counted wrong, you have listed THREE files for the bug fix, is this right?
1 - /Code/Login.pl
2 - /Languages/English/Login.lng
3 - Blah.pl

Is this correct? There are enough bugs for the users that I have to either fix them or take the forum down until it's more stable.

What bugs?  There are very few bugs reported that haven't been fixed (mostly calendar related at the moment ... as I'm putting it off simply because the entire backend needs a rewrite again) and big bugs are patched and released to the downloads page quickly.  You can also download the latest version that fixes bugs from the other server (http://eblah.no-ip.com).  If you're out of date, then I can understand your issues.

If you didn't have P9.71, then you need to install P9.71B FULLY.

The only thing Blah.pl does is change the version number.

i believe he's referring to the first post in this thread... so the bug he's referring to is the same one you posted the fix for.

If your using the mod_rewrite you need to delete your .htaccess file to access the Setup.pl script when upgrading
