So far, I couldn't find a post on this....so I guess I'll handle the task.

I've been having problems with users not being able to logon after registering.

I'm using the latest version of eblah (9.7).

After doing some reverse engineering, I found out that list2.txt was being written incorrectly.

I found the file that handles that task.  (Register.pl)

So I modified this code:
     fopen(FILE,">>$members/List2.txt");
     print FILE "$FORM{'username'}|$wantedname|0|$newuser->[14]||$newuser->[2]|";
     fclose(FILE);

I added "\n" to the end of the print line:
print FILE "$FORM{'username'}|$wantedname|0|$newuser->[14]||$newuser->[2]|\n";

So now, my forum is working correctly.  Please let me know if this was the proper fix.

I too await comments on this as I had problems with users being able to log in until I had rebuilt the member lists.
