I have email verification turned on for newly registering users. Would it be possible to send them a reminder email if they have not validated their account after 7 days, and maybe delete the account if they havent validated within 14 days. I think this would be a well used feature because its just taken me 2 hours to email each non validating member individually.

When a pm is received and 'recieve email notification' is turned on, is it an error that the administrator's username is used as the sendee, because the sendee's email address is the members email address who sent the pm, if i remember right.

BTW eblah rocks

Any thought on what I posted up?

I was thinking about the second point. Is it not a privacy risk sending a members email address to another member when you pm them? I think it would be better if their username was sent as the sender, but the forums email address used.

I'll add the second one.

The other one, I'm not sure what you can do.

At the moment every week or so I go into the 'Verify Members' on the admin. I email each applied member (these are the ones that havent validated their email) with a standard email saying, did you get the email? reply to this if you want me to activate you, etc. The ones I get replies from (some say they didnt get the email - maybe junk folder - some just dont grasp the deal with activation) I validate and then they get on my forum. Others are deleted 7 days after I send that email out to remind them.

I find quite a few members every week join my forum and contribute because of this, and I cant afford to lose them if I hadnt done it.

The only thing is, it takes me some time to email each one manually, and then go through find and delete others the next week; it just seemed to me like as you have the query already setup (get unverified members) that it would be easy to have a function to send them a reminder email, and possibly delete the ones already reminded?

If I knew perl I'd give it a go
