Take a look at the forum at http://eudorabb.qualcomm.com. The way they do tags is interesting.

If you click the "link" button, for instance, you get a little dialog window in which you enter the text to be linked. When you click OK, you get another in which you enter the link URL. When you click OK to that, the fully tagged text is inserted.

Text format tags work similarly: if you click the I button for Italics, you get a window in which you enter the text you want italicized, and when you click OK the tagged text is inserted.

Yeah, I've always hated that. It's not really all that much easier.

One day it would be nice to have a WYSIWYG text editor, but there would be problems with that and BC, I fear.
