Another foum which I am hoping to steal some users from currently has issues with speed.  Some pages are generated in as much as 30 seconds +.

Would there be any chance of a line at the botton of the pages which reports how long it took to generate the current page, as in Page generated in 0.002 Seconds.
I know I could probably fudge this in myself, but Iwould imagine many users and administrators would appreciate this information and it would give some advance warning of impending server problems.
For myself I would like users to see the incredibly fast turnaround you generally get with perl scripting and that it knocks the socks off the competition.

Let me know what you think of this idea!

Kind regards,
Mike.

It's only shown to Admins, Martin.

I remove the code as it's kind of "developer" / "debug" purpose code ... I'll post the most recent code and all here so you can use it on your forum, though.

If you get a 500 error, though, that's because you're server doesn't have the HiRes modules installed ... which allows perl to have miliseconds (as by default it doesn't have).  Hope this helps.

Also, this will ONLY show the time to Admins, if you want it shown to everyone you'll have to edit Routines.pl (footer sub).

Thanks very much indeed, that is brilliant.  The only problem is that I don't think my host will have Time::HiRes installed (i will double check before abandoning all hope though!

I will have a play on my test setup at home for the time being though, and once again, thanks for most excellent assistance.
