Please help! I downloaded E-Blah Platinum 9.5 recently. I uploaded the files to the correct places on my server ( or so I thought ) and I did the next part of setting the correct permissions on the files and folders. This is the part that I probably messed up on ( my server is cPanelX if that matters at all ). ANY help would be appriciated, thanks!

What error are you getting?

The only files you need to chmod is Setup.pl and Blah.pl to 755, Settings.pl to 666
The forum folder needs to be 777 or 755 and setup should run.

I try to run the setup and it goes to a page that says " Internal Server Error ". I'll try what you suggested. Thank you so much for replying!

Another question. On the Blahdocs website ( http://www.blahdocs.com/installnew/ ) it says in step one of three, it tells you how to upload the files to your website. It tells you to upload on foler in ASCII mode, and one folder in Binary mode. I don't know how to do that either so thats probably why it doesn't work.

You really need to use and ftp program, much easier to manage your uploads.

Try FTPsurfer from http://www.downloads.com

It's free

My real problem is that I don't know how to upload in ASCII and Binary mode, will this program do that?

Yep, it gives you more control on uploads, downloads and permissions on files, very easy to use.  You should be able to get ftp details from your cpanel

So, I download the FTP Surfer program, and I try to go to my server, but it can't or won't, or something. I'm confused.

You need to get your ftp login details, if you can't find them in your cpanel then ask your host what they are.
