Hi. I've just launched a forum at
http://www.better-together.co.uk/alphabet/

My wife is a teacher of young children, and I've spent a fair time of late sitting on undersized chairs admiring the alphabet charts on the classroom walls. Typically A will stand for apple, B for ball. It occurred to me that I for indian, one I remember from my childhood, has been replaced as it is no longer politically correct to refer to native/first/indigenous Americans as Indians.

Lacking any tact or decency, I therefore determined to create an alphabet using only subjects that, while they might have been unremarked a few decades ago, are now outside acceptable usage. But only just. And then it is my intention to illustrate these in a 'modern' style, along the lines of private Bruna's Miffy (OK, Miffy is 50, but still looks fresh).

Once I have a full set of illustrations completed I'll... well, I don't quite know what I'll do. They'd make nice set of flash cards to give to new parents you'd like to offend, but with subtlety. Or a charming poster for your oh-so-knowing loft decor. T-shirts would beckon, if only they had arms. That's a problem for later.

The problem for now is coming up with sufficient subjects, and then illustrating them. Sitting in a pub staring out of the window can only inspire me so far. After that I decided to ask for help. And hence the forum.

Tasteful? Maybe not. Fun? I hope so.

I love the colors, and the purpose of the board.  The only suggestion that I have is that you upgrade to P9.3.  Loads more function, and at this point in the game you would have no problem doing it.

-Craig.

Hehe, it seems like fun. And the yellow and goldish colors are quite nice. Again, another forum that is easy one the eye.
It looks good

Craig, Re upgrade to P9.3 - is that available yet? I don't see it on the dl page.
I installed this forum using a quick install from my service provider - http://www.qiq.co.uk - so once 9.3 is out I'll let them know to update their installer.
