This will be of most use to those who rely heavily on the RSS feed, or if someone is referencing your feed through a service like Bloglines.com.   This fix will make your XML feed validate correctly through http://www.feedvalidator.org/

In Portal.pl find the following:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?>
<rss version="2.0">
<channel>

and add the following AFTER:

<title>$mbname</title>
<link>$rurl</link>
<generator>http://www.eblah.com</generator>
<description />
<language>en</language>

Looking at my xml file, it seems that each topic is being displayed twice, is this a bug?

Yes it is a bug.  That happens with my xml file too... but not the dynamic feed @ Blah.pl?v=shownews,a=headlines

If you're using the xml file to make your RSS available to members, just give them the dynamic feed instead.

Yes, I'll fix it in the next version as it's on my list.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

I too am loking to get into the blogging thing but have not found
the right software for it. I don't want to use mysql. I was wondering
if eblah had ability to act the way the big blogs do with places for
comments and such.

Is there any real documentation on Eblah and RSS?

Thanks

I'm not sure what was meant by RSS feed into the forums.

E-Blah isn't a blogging system, although you can somewhat use it like one by making a new board.

Here is an example: I would like to "carry" the alt.something.feed in a (kinda like newsgroups I guess.) so when someone responds to the rss feed it would propagate to my board in the alt.somthing.feed forum.  ??

Is this what the RSS feed do?  Or am I way off?

Way off.  A news feed just feeds the information to a reader.
