direct link to a portion of the thread

say i want to link to a thread but i want the link to point to the 4th response. how can i do that? what can i put in the link to make it go straight to the 4th response instead of telling someone to go to the thread and scroll to the 4th response? maybe a anchor link feature would be cool, if its not already implemented.

This is already a feature, here's an example, I chose a thread at random that had a lot of replies, notice it goes to the 7th reply.

Also, at the bottom of each thread is:

"Reply: 1 - 1" you can click the first number ..

not working. is this a feature for the newer eblah software? i would upgrade but i cant because the file path changed from '=rrr,m=1128301839' to
'm-1127655360' and i have to many people pointing to messags posted with the original file path

So that mod_rewrite would work. It's so much better. You no longer have to have Blah.pl? in your URL's. Also, I fixed a LOT of other URLs (like 5 diffrent links that all went to the "user profile" page, now goes to one URL). It helps on bandwidth and Google can index your forum MUCH better.
