a user pointed this out on one of my forums...

'the ONE and only thing i dont like that really bothers me is if you click on a topic and dont view all the threads in it, and go back to the main page, the icon changes from to unread to read even though there are still unread threads inside them.. i guess it bothers me cause im used to phpbb forums, does this make sense? lol i dont know if i explained it right'

is there a fix for this?

No, I might look at it though. However, you should know that in phpBB I hate it because if you close the window and such it marks ALL the forums as read for you ... then you don't know WHAT threads were read and what ones wasn't. o.O I'll try to look into it though.
