Is there any way to allow restricting to a minimum amount of characters that has to be in a post before it can be posted? I hate it when a lot of people just post stuff like 'COOL' or 'YEAH'. Is there a way that I can require something like a 10 character minimum before a post can be made? I know vB already has this feature so I know this as to at least had been thought off for eBlah before in the past.

Yeah, I believe there's a post somewhere about it ... finding it would be heck though. lol

Post.pl; search for:

Code

     if(length($message) > $maxmesslth && $maxmesslth) { $error = $gtxt{'long'}; }

Add after:

Code

     if(length($message) < 100) { $error = $gtxt{'long'}; }

Change the 100 to however many characters you desire.

ok when i add that and i test it to see if it works i get this message:

"Your message is too long. Please go back and shorten it."

how can i change that to say something like

"Your message is too short. Please go back and try again"
