I kind'a like this theme....

And this is my first attempt at creating a theme for E-Blah.

I've split the boards and added some mouse-over options. It's also heavily modded with extra "classes" that need to be added to the default .pl files. Or worse... they have to be replaced...

Any link that you read changes colour, and when the whole board script turns 'blue' (Mind you I haven't decided on the final colours) then you have read everything that's available...

Don't be put off by the 'adult' theme, I do have some morals.....

David.

It's pretty simple really, and it can use existing standard Eblah themes by simply changing the theme .css file to:

.catbg, .catbg2, .catbg3, .catbg4

and adding:

.mainhead (this allows the option of graphics or colour across the top..)

.catsub (this keeps the news-scroller background separate, and is useful if the theme is dark)

Justin,

About the lil' computer.................................

The whole thing started of as your 'winter' theme... LOL!

Not at the moment...

But while it opens up a whole new scenario, it also has to involve the the Mod writers; because most v2m files will have to modified to suit the new code.

So it probably needs to be kept separate from the usual skins / themes, as there are at least 15 .pl files affected and have to be replaced as there are too many changes to be added as a MOD / v2m file. Some code has been either moved, added or deleted, Perl has been 'split' and some are just small changes to cellspacing and cellpadding and table-data etc. (About a 100 or more).

Here's another one that I'm 'playing with'... The scope is endless, but it does need the likes of yourself and possibly Craig to be invoved.

Then it could be a transitionl change, rather than a one-off scenario.

Edit:

This darker scene (if you view the Portal) also points out a problem with 'borders'. The header I added to 'Who's on line' doesn't have any borders, so the border issue needs to be addressed for the 'darker' themes. ?

I've been playing and left the templates and .css as standard so that they can be purged for errors. The cell borders are now a class of their own, and can be 'dropped' into the background or foreground to disappear...

That's why they are back... They'll be gone again tomorrow.

I may have missed your point.........

The borders were initially removed 'globally' because that's how they were written into the perl script (As global .border, .hr).

Three .pl files were modded so that the 'cells' had their own internal and external borders; but the colour-melding wasn't definitive enough with alike colours, so I put the borders back to 'sharpen' it all up..

But! they are now variable... and can be blended so as not to contrast with, or create a separate outline unless it's an intentional colour change. That way if anyone's a Pom, they can have their own red, white & blue theme... or even one's own football club colours. ROFL!
