Just by elimination. I noticed that not only was the font color not working but also the font size. When I looked at the source I could see that both were using the $var variable as the text so I started replacing $var{'text'} in Post.pl with the actual text from the .lng file and it worked. I then looked a bit for closely at the traditional_chinese.lng and noticed that it had:

%var => (

it should have been:

%var = (

Voila, problem fixed.

We must be close to uploading a complete package now.

does the $mbname refer to the guy who invites, or the invited?
also does it correspond to this line?

$invite[26] = 'has visited the boards. Thank you for inviting him or her to our forums!';

as a result in email it shows like this?

$mbname is the name of your forum, This one is called E-Blah Community

Yours I believe should be "¤ôªG±Ð«Ç"

what are Active Referrals and Activated Referrals?

Invite a friend is turned on in the Main Preferences, Allow members to invite friends to the forums?

If someone refers/invites a friend it gets added to Refer.txt in the /Prefs folder
Activated means that they have visited and joined the forum.

You shouldn't be using SMTP, use sendmail.

i see, free prohosting account doesn't offer sendmail too

how do we change this @tasklog statement to another statement?

You may have to change from ' single quotes to " double quotes.

i see, im getting more cgi errors tho
i guess its been translating the bunch without tested
didn't have internet, i was translating offline
now ive uploaded all to the ftp
i'll have to check one by one to see which is causing the problem

meanwhile here's are the translation files in zip
i'll take a few days to organise and i'll add the translated icon's

there's something i think its worth mentioning of
the eblah in chinese ive translated to ¥ì³¡°Õ as sounds as "ebula"
so as after i fixed the errors i'll include the chinese theme pack in the final zip

lastly im making a site for the chinese version of eblah
