Okay, the bugs maverick mentioned are fixed now.

The first attached file is for those having only the English language pack installed and the second one is for people having both, the English and the German language pack installed.

Nah, it's the right file, there should be a menu point saying "Fields Setup" on the left side of the Admin CP.

Hmm, in your modification center, does it say "uninstall" at the additional fields mod?

Well, then it hasn't been installed correctly, otherwise the "install" would change to "uninstall".

Have you tried installing other mods on your forum? If that doesn't work either I suggest you post that into the "Board Support" section, beacause Justin and the other members of the support team will have the solution for your problem.

I suggest to check the CHMODing of the "mods" and "code" dirs though.

Opher... you might want to make a version of this mod for the next version of eblah which is XHTML Transitional compliant.

Well, I've never done anything with XHTML, so I have to inform myself first, what this basically means, and what I'd have to change.

And I think to make a XHTML version of the mod, I'd need to have that new Eblah Version as a reference, so I can insert the new "Search for" statements.

Well, I'm going to inform myself about XHTML first...

Opfer,
excellent mod!  Yours is much better than the one I was working on so I tip my hat to you.  I really like how you can include the information other places.

One question, though, and I'm not sure this is an issue with your mod or just with eblah.  When I install the mod, it changes the permissions on Blah.pl so that I get an error.  It took me forever to realize that this is what was happening - I reuploaded all the code files so many times before I caught it.

Do you have any idea why this is happening?  Is it the mod or something else?  I uninstalled every other mod I had and I was working with the original code so I'm not sure what is causing it.  It seems like it gets messed up when I uninstall it, too.

Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment first

And the issue with the Blah.pl CHMOD is a bug in eblah (as mentioned somewhere further up in this thread).

Dunno if Justin has fixed it for the next version yet, I've posted it in the Bugs Board but no reply so far.

The CHMOD isn't a bug with E-Blah.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Quoted from admin
The CHMOD isn't a bug with E-Blah.

I made a mod, that changed the line

Code
# Global version information:

in Blah.pl to

Code
# Global version information:

Nothing else was in that mod and it did CHMOD the Blah.pl to 644 rendering it unable to be executed.

So if this is not a bug with eblah, what causes it then?

No.  That's just how Perl writes the files.  It's not a bug, lol.
