Cool mod, I like it and have it installed. Works great.
I can see some real RPG potential with this mod.
One thing I wanted to suggest.
After I go to the additional info center, add the info and hit the "save" button, it would be cool if I got some sort of "Your settings were saved"(or similar) message. On my forum the page just stays the same. I have had users allready wondering "Did it work or not?"
Just a suggestion if possible.

Thanks!
Nice Work

What do you mean by "info center"? The admin center or the member center?

And if you refer to the member center, it's the same with the other pages there like "Name and Contact Information". So if you want to have a confirmation page I suggest Justin does it for all the pages in the member center, which would include mine, because it's perfectly integrated in there That way, it would be way more "consequent", but if Justin doesn't want I could perhaps do it though.

Oh and with the RPG thing: I originally wrote this thing because a friend of mine wanted additional member informations and tags for his forum of a clan on a RPG

PS.: I'm glad you like it

That ... that's awesome.    A good mod arrives.    The is one of those that I would even tell people to use, heck.    I would like to add one like it to E-Blah, but just no time ... and the .dat file changes constantly.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Opfer,

Is this mod for Windows Unix and?

I am getting source code not found errors on all but three actions.

I have your other mods installed happily ever after.

You might have to download it.  Have you tried downloading it and not copy and pasting?

Quoted from admin
and the .dat file changes constantly.

Umm, shouldn't be a problem, just save it in a file called $user.fld, like the mod does.

And I wonder while copy and paste doesn't work again... looks like it removes the line breaks, I have no clue, why, though.

Oh and good to hear you like it

Oh, and there goes a bug with the modification center, I'm posting this here, so I can tell you how to work around, until Justin has fixed it, and then someone can delete this post.

Ok, here we go: This does only apply for Unix users. In case you are using Unix you'll get an "Internal server error" because the mod center resets every file to CHMOD 644. As this version of the mod includes the Blah.pl, it'll be 644 after installing the mod. To fix this, just CHMOD it back to 755 and everything should be fine. At least until you uninstall it again.

I've installed the first version and it works great. I don't have to have a seperate registration form now. This has been a problem before, being a pain of having to register twice I must have lost about 50 members through it.. Not sure if I should do the upgrade just yet or will the information be lost that has been logged?

No there should not be any information lost if you upgrade. The new version is really better, especially with the optimizations, so I recommend you upgrade.

update

I have just noticed that the additional fields are still there after I uninstalled it.. could you tell me which files it has altered so I re-upload them please.

Cheers

If you click on "Edit" at the mod you'll see a list of the changed files.

Real nice.

I ran into the glitch that I have renamed my Blah.pl file. Those who have renamed Blah.pl will have to edit the mod before uploading it, changing "Blah.pl".

Also, on my server, I couldn't chmod the Blah.pl file after it had been edited by the mod instal. The reason is that the owner of the file gets changed to "nobody." I guess that is who the program is. Then I don't have permissions.

I got around that by making a copy of the edited Blah.pl file, deleting the version owned by "nobody," and loading my copy which then became owned by me and was therefore chmod-able.

Thanks for the great mod!

Ah I see, well I could CHMOD it back to 755 so I guess that depends on the server you use. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

Man i really like this mod, all the more reason why having problems sucks.

Anyhow, I installed the first one by simply pasting the file into my code box in my mod center. It worked great, went right in no problems. I went about using it ofcourse.

Then I uploaded the upgrade 1.4, and after testing it got many "Code not found in Source errors" So I tried and tried and tried to figure it our and chmod' stuff and read over the support thread again and again but I can't get the upgrade to work.
And it seems my first mod is now disfunctional.

At last I removed everything, deleted the fld files like Opfer suggested and tried to start all over.

Now it gives me "Code not found in Source" when I try to install the original 1.3.

I also noticed many pl files in my folders with a large number following them, just below its corresponding file.

admin1.pl
admin1.pl.numberhere

Should I delete?

What can I do?
