Looks pretty good. You might want to have a look at BoardIndex.pl and require Settings.pl and English.lng for future versions (as it would make for less code, as the months array wouldn't have to be written in that .pl file ). But that's just some things you can do, over all it looks pretty good though. |

Thanks. I figured there was more of eblah code I could have tapped into, but I was putting it together fairly quick and didn't have time to search through the code. |

YOU ARE SO MY HERO! The one thing the fans are always and I mean ALWAYS screaming for is a one stop page where they can see all the events for Linda in one spot. By setting the max to 365, I now have her entire years tour schedule there as they wanted it. I owe HUGE. http://www.ederfan.comTHANK YOU! Steve |

Quoted from riffplayer
This isn't really a mod. It has to be installed separately on your system. I suppose it could be made into a mod somehow.
It reads the calendar data from eblah and makes a list that you can put into a web page. It puts all of the events into date order. You can specify how long into the past and future you want to display and you can specify if you want a link to the eblah calendar for each event.
The settings should be fairly straight forward, but you'll need to use php or ssi or something to include the script in your webpage.
Make sure you rename the file to "events.pl" or any name, just so long as it has a ".pl" ending!
is there anyway to hide the extra code. see this as what i am talking about http://www.tricitiesbuzz.com/eventsthis could be a really big help to my site or is this done in the css file. if it's done in the css file could you post that so i can take a look at it. thanks jim |

Sorry, I just don't use blahcode in my calendar events. I suppose there would be a way to have the script parse the blahcode the same way the forum does, but I won't be able to do it.
I am working on a few changes for this. First, I want to be able to specify for each event how long they should appear on the coming events page (I have some weekly events that just clutter things up - I want to be able to set them for 7 days, but have some monthly events set for 30 days). Also, I hope to put in an end date and time so that I don't have to mess with the span issue.
If anyone has any ideas, feel free to pass them along. I'm not around as much as before, but I'll still check in from time to time. |

Um, well, actually I'd rather you pick (how's that for passing the buck!)
It doesn't work through the mod center so you have to know a little more than just eblah. I'm not sure if this is what your database is for or not. Actually, I have no idea what database you're talking about...
I think it would be great for others to see it so if adding it to the database helps, then go for it.

The database is the sticky on this board in which collects all mods for versions so people can easily find a modification. |
