Not sure if this defeats the whole purpose of deleting messages?

But something that might be nice is for admins to be able to view all messages that have been deleted, by users and Administrators.

Yes, that's what I meant. Of course users shouldn't see what the content of a deleted thread/post is

I need to make a "trash forum" option, but that would really be a lot of work.

I do installs for $25 and upgrades for $20.

Yes, that would be cool though, so far, I have a board named "Archive" that nobody except admins can see, and I tell every moderator to move the thread into that Board instead of deleting it, but that doesn't work with single messages and also most mods forget about it after a week and press delete - which is the time when a member demands me to restore it because it shouldn't have been deleted

They could split the message into the dungeon board.

Yes, but that's way complicated to explain to them and in the end, nobody would do it, because it is easier to just press "delete"

A trash option would be good, also an option 2 have messages put into an archive board when u use the "prune boards" option thing 2 delete old threads, cos i deleted a load of old threads on my board and now i hav ppl asking me 2 put them back...

Can i upload deleted messages from a backup and put them into a new board?

You could upload the old message files, and then change the name of the message database in the Boards DIR.  Just create the new board in Admin center, and rename the file according on your computer ... and that'd work.

I have an idea. Lol... Maybe you can make an option in the admin center and if it's checked, administrators will recieve an e-mail when threads are deleted.. That MAY cause alot of spam (depending on if it's an active forum and stuff.) Like the admin can get e-mailed the message title, messag, username, ip, etc..
