Been having a litle dabble with being able to choose your theme from the login page, like a Theme Chooser.

I've come up with a page that allows you to preview the installed themes, select a theme and login in with the selected theme.

If you don't want to choose a theme then just login and you will get your current default theme.  There is also a link to the registration page for non-members.

What do you think??

You can give it a whirl HERE

That's pretty cool.

Just a little suggestion, though, you could smooth out the javascript interface a bit.  If you choose a theme from the left menu, you don't have to push the "Select Theme" button - you can just push the "Preview Button" and it brings up that theme - no matter what is in the box between the "Preview" and "Select" Buttons.  Maybe you could put the list of themes right next to the "Preview" button and just eliminate the "Select" button.

The other possibilities would be to use some sort of onClick command so that when you pick a theme from the menu it automatically puts that theme name in the box between the "Preview" and "Select" buttons.

Hope I don't sound critical.  What you've done is really cool.

you don't have to push the "Select Theme" button

I did have it like this originally but as I wanted a combined form, ie: Preview and Login, as 2 seperate entities. If the previewed theme went straight to the Selected Theme box then the user would be logged on with that theme and they might have just been checking out a new theme, if they leaves it blank then they logon with their current theme. As it is you can preview all the themes and as long as you don't hit the Select Theme button, you will get your current theme when you login.

You can never be too critical in my eyes, without critique you get little progress.
