SonnyZA... I was referring to the two nuclear bombs the United States dropped on Japan in World War Two. Justin... the mission in Iraq is not done . Why? Because American soldiers are still getting killed in Iraq every day. When it is safe enough for Britain and the United States to leave Iraq, then it will be done. That publicity shot on the Battle Carrier with the banner that said 'Mission Accomplished' was pure tripe and nothing more than a publicity stunt to boost his ratings. If compared to a weapon, America would be a broadsword, which is why I think they're not getting anywhere. America fights with more of an emphasis on manpower and artillery than stealth & skill. Down in the southern parts of Iraq, our boys (British)are getting a lot less fatalities in proportion, because we're killing almost no civilians, and being a lot more polite than the American soldiers are up north. I do watch CBC quite a bit, as well as CNN, Fox News and BBC World News too. I saw on CNN Headline News when Major Harry Schmidt was giving a public statement, he said he didn't do anything wrong when killing those Canadians, and he shouldn't be punished. He expressed no remorse, didn't apologise or express his sorrow for the families loss. When 6 American soldiers were captured in Tora Bora in Afghanistan, CentCom asked the British SAS to go in and rescue the U.S soldiers. All I'm saying is generally speaking our military takes more care and spends more time planning operations than the U.S (course that might be because our troop numbers are so low due to a poncey leftwing liberal nutcase British Defence Minister, and we can't afford to lose any soldiers). PS: I think you should still lock the thread anyways... gone on long enuff eh ? |

Othellobloke I didn't know there were Canadans where the bombs were thrown or British for that matter. Yes well, that's down right awfull and who ever this Major Harry Schmidt is at home, he is an animal....or wait...animals don't behave like thaT. at least they kill for food. No greater love than those who give their lives for somebody. No greater evil than those who kills his own ppl.I was going to say that cause the UK has so little population (In respect to US) and less army force, that they can't afford to lose men. For instance South-Africa has 43 million ppl, America has about 6 times more, so they would have better economy, army, money etc. But for an Island and small country like the UK, they have really done great, to have such strong currency/economy, army, technology etc. |

Nat I see the British as gracefull. Maybe today it has changed. But when I was young I read so many stories of WW 1 and 2, the titanic, wars etc. Let me explain about the gracefull part. Did you ever saw Titanic? The old couple that knew thay gonna die, they lie next to each other in their cabin, holding each other...waiting to die. The women and her two children. She was telling them stories on the sleeping bunker, they too know they're gonna die. And so with the Sirs and Lords in the Lobby. They ordered a brandy, sat down and say: "We'll die like gentlemen" Now this all could me fiction. But that's how I see the British, even if death comes knocking on the door. Anyways, these parts that's true, I read in many books, and in there it tells about the unshellfish British heros who didn't mind dying for ppl they didn't even know. Like the story that happened in WW1 I read when I was still a teen. An old man visited unlawfully a country that was occupied by the Germans to find his "out-of-marraige" daughter. They caught him with some French resistence and accussed him he is one of the resistence. The Germans then inform them they would be shot right there and then, under the trees in the country. A very young man that was with them started crying softly. The old English man's word were: "Come on now chap, stand upright, show them we're proud ppl. Death is not that bad, and don't let the blood spil on your shoes..." Maybe there's no more such British, but i like to think there are. Greetings |

Never unsubscribe! Then your address gets marked on the list as verified. So the list sells at a better price as the number of verified addresses increases. I think most spammers make much, if not most, of their money off other spammers and inductees. Not that there aren't a whole lota' suckers out there.
Hmmm not long after I "unsubcribe" I got more spam. Infact I got scams. Please I think congratulations from you guys would be in order...I've won $1,000,000 in an American lottery....(Not that I ever played any lottery, never mind as far as America) I thought of buying this forum......yep, and I up a few ppl's reputation, and after that I kick a few ppl I don't like (just have to search for 'em cause I like everyone ) ...cause I'm a millionaire....right? ...Wrong! It's a bloody scam. And this "dear old pll" e-mail is blacklisted... http://www.joewein.de/sw/419-bl-j.htm If you go there, you'll find domains, e-mails etc thats been blacklisted. Csn anybody tell me how much space a "netscape.net" e-mail box can take? I have a good mind to send megs and megs of useless crap to flood his mailbox so no innocent ppl can reply with their "details". And then sending their hard earned cash for "admin" fees. johnpeters111@netscape.net <----scammer |

Two options: pay for a good spam filter, or risk losing wanted emails.
If you can't pay, then make filters with only a few letters such as 'gage'... 'fre '... 'deals'... 'vi'... 'v1'... 'pric'... 'gir'...
The trick is to use as little letters as possible. |

Just risk the wanted mail - the advantages far outweigh the disadvantages.
Or you can just get a new email, and ONLY use it for people you know or trust, and not to sign up to anything online. |

Othellobloke That particular mail is very important. Not alone do I make a few bucks of it, but some ppl need me on certain areas and then I must deliver for sure. If I miss one important mail, it could create a bit of havoc and loss of money.
So i take it like the good man I am... LOL *Another lesson learned* |

Just get SpamAssassin, it's free, open source, and in perl. I don't see why they don't have it on more servers. I have my spam level set to 5 I think and I get no spam. |

My ISP uses it on one of their services. If SpamAssassin will work on my PC then I must give it a try. Whats the minimum requirements, I think not much.
Didn't know it is free though.... thanks...gonna give it a try. Thanks |
