I would like to have a category that is for adults only.  Most of my site is kid friendly, but some adults have requested a place where they can swear, etc (blow off steam).  I know there is a YaBB Mod for something like this, but I am not going back to YaBB any time soon .  I would not want the censored words to apply and would want an age check the first time they get on.  Also, posts should not show up in the most recent posts.

What do you think?  Has it been done already?  I may just create a separate board and enable the over 13 (may need to mod to 18 ) feature but that means I have to maintain two boards.

Actually, it's on my todo list.  I think it's on the P8 list though ... but I might make it for the next, as here recently I've got several requests.    There might also be a gender board function too ... I'm not sure about all that yet though.  lol

OK, here's is what i did for now, it hasn't been fully tested.  I created a new Member Group called Over18, I then created a category and boards with acces only to Over18 and Admin/Mods.  It seems to work and does not show up in the most recent listing, but it does show up in the last post.  Non-members can't see the board so they don't know what they are missing.  I can add users to the group upon request.  Censored words is a problem but everything seems to work for now.  I am sure your mod will be best though.

P7 fixes last post bugs I believe.  The censor can be turned off in Member Center if they don't want the words censored.  

The censor is necessary for the rest of the forum.  I guess an Adults only category which does not call the censor.txt is the only way around this.  What I am doing now is a total hack, but it appears to be working until you code yours.

I told you what to do.    Members can turn the censor off by going to their member center.

I also think this would be a great idea.

I run a Cricket Club website - and often the seniors want to discuss things that
the Juniors should not be able to see.  I have set up "Member Groups" for now, but
ideally I would like to have a forum where anyone going in was warned:

"The Board you are entering is ADULTS ONLY" etc...

It's on the list, as said.    But I'm not thinking of adding it to P7 ....  .  But that may change.  Sub cat's was a big thing for P7, lol.
