As we expand, and get larger -- I have decided to stop releasing alphas / betas of E-Blah. E-Blah is stable, and in production stages, as it is one of the most secure bulletin board systems out. The next, and final, Release Candidate – RC 5 – will be available to the public very soon (within the next two to three weeks). As the turn of this event unfolds, this may leave E-Blah enthusiasts wanting to know if production of the project will continue. The answer is simple: yes. E-Blah will continue to be worked on – just as much as it is now. The core of E-Blah is complete – and extremely stable – so therefore, RC 5 will be the end of the RC (final development) stages of E-Blah. After RC 5, I will start releasing small packages every month or so, and I have decided to not do what some forums do as in using service packs, which will only be released every year or two. E-Blah will be updated on a point value scale (as in E-Blah Platinum 1.0). Every six months the point value will increase a digit. I have stated all of this to just keep everyone up to date on the project. I hope everyone’s interest in E-Blah continues to grow, and I hope that E-Blah will explode in the user base. The website will be updated a little bit (the pages will be changed) sometime shortly (within the week I hope). I have also, recently, added a pricing system for people wanting to get the load off of themselves with upgrading, and installing the forum. These prices may change (as the site license charge will be going up today or tomorrow). I’ve spent over two years on this, and I’m hoping E-Blah will start producing some results in cash flow. A little money has been received from people paying for upgrade licenses (which have helped greatly). Pricing, however, is not something I like to do because I like to be of service to everyone – however, I feel as though this is a small donation for the buyer using E-Blah. Therefore, no one is obligated to donate to E-Blah. I’ve, built E-Blah from the ground up, and literally thousands of hours have gone into the programming and debugging of the project. I love programming, but it must meet some of my own expectations as well – as I was thinking of going another license route (when I first made E-Blah public) – but decided against it because I wanted to offer E-Blah for free, to everyone. If you can donate any – even $20 helps – please do so. If you are short on cash, or can not donate, do not feel obligated – because I defiantly do not want you to feel that way. Just enjoy E-Blah! Thanks and God Bless, Justin |
