I am wanting suggestions as to other scripts you would love to see from me. I want to get more into PHP (maybe not the MySQL database as much as the actual PHP language), so I'm wanting suggestions on programs you guys would like to see!
The program, unfortunatly, will not be open source (because I want some cash to buy a laptop right now, have about 40% saved up to buy it so far). So the script would cost a little. However, I have no idea what I can start on. I only have experience in Forums really at the moment. I've attempted to make a logging system before (which I know costs money), however do not know how well that'd play out -- and it means I have to study a little and see what 'the big boys' have. If I can get a big program settled in, and people downloading it and enjoying it ... I'm hoping to get an actual staff (maybe ... just maybe). But I need help from you guys out there first. Help me decide what type of programs you want to see coming from E-Blah. Depending on the time, and the project, it could cost anywhere from $20 to $200.

One thing I have allways wanted is some sort of Website admin doodad. When you login it tells you your IP and what not, and have various tools for admining a site. Like for instance upload a file, links to admining the forums. Server uptime and what not. General stuff that you want your staff to be able to do but dont want to give them access over the entire server via cpanel or whm. Heck I might even buy it. and Justin you know how cheap I am |

A Content Management System (CMS) will be good.
I would gladly pay for something that is more powerful than PhpNuke and easily customised and manage. It can be flatfile for database. |

I would like to see a content manager that did not center around news post and comments. I wonder why there is not a CMS that doesn't depend on comments, polls, voting, etc. but rather allow a webmaster or team of admins to develope a constantly evolving site based on dynamic content.
my 2 cents. |

a team roster manager could be awsome. Especially if it use E-Blah members database. Dunno. It's just that so many people that download msg boards are for gaming clans. That culd give you an edge.
just an idea |

He's got a good point... You already have the base set up... This forum. extending things like the member panels and member data files to be customizable. Allowing for administrators to set up a website, where the forum is simply an integrated part of the website. http://www.canadascteam.com <- your code, but spread across the website as a whole. Still trying to dev a replay section oh btw... before you venture off into the bluntly ez to code PHP, i suggest doing MySQL in perl. Using DBI. You can probably can upgrade your forum to support it. |
